But one day Upa, his mind preoccupied with a new gift, accidentally knocked over a magical urn that was resting on the family mantle. The urn exploded unleashing the evil demon beast Zai. Freed after a thousand years of captivity, the goat-like Zai mad with power took over the kingdom of Ruakuuyo and drained all the inhabitants of their life force. When all hope was lost, a fairy appeared, and gave Upa a magical rattle, She told him to go forth on a fantastical journey to save his kingdom!
